Bright Minds offers a full range of tutoring for high school students preparing to take the SAT or ACT. We offer multiple options to fit all students' needs:

Subject specific tutoring for students who have determined which areas they need help.

A full-service plan for students (generally in their sophomore year) who would like help determining which test (ACT or SAT) fits their needs, followed by a personalized four phase study plan and timeline to achieve desired scores for their school of choice by Fall of Senior Year.
The Bright Minds SAT/ACT Plan
Introducing a customized 4-Phase Test Strategy designed to take the stress out of the ACT/SAT process. We start early, identifying your perfect target schools and test fit right after sophomore year, then guide you through a series of strategic attempts to guarantee your highest possible score, ensuring you finish testing well before senior year application deadlines. This intentional timeline maximizes your score potential and minimizes test anxiety.
4-Phased Plan
Phase One
Context and goals
We begin by establishing the "why" of testing. This phase focuses on early college exploration to identify necessary score ranges, providing clear, achievable targets that inform and prioritize the entire preparation process.
Phase Two
Dual diagnostic
This critical phase, timed for the end of sophomore year, utilizes a strategic head-to-head comparison of the ACT and Digital SAT. By measuring performance on both exams, we pinpoint the test where the student naturally excels, ensuring all subsequent effort is focused on the most advantageous path.
Phase Three
Testing
The core of the plan involves scheduling official test attempts throughout the junior year and summer. This phase is built around intensive, targeted study between sittings, with the goal of finalizing a strong score by Fall senior year.
Phase Four
Contingency
A final contingency window is built into the early fall of senior year. This phase acts as a safeguard, providing some last opportunities for improvement, which is strategically planned to ensure the highest scores are available for all final college application submissions.

We will match your student with a tutor who can help with the specific section desired! We ensure that your student will have access to subject matter experts, rather than a generic SAT tutor. For example, a math tutor for the math section and an English tutor for the Reading and Writing. ​
